I was not sure about these shelves at first with how thin the metal felt but after getting them put together they are holding very well. Do keep in mind the shelves do seem to be particle board so I put a peel and stick vinyl on mine to protect them from moisture. I will buy more from this company in the future for sure. The delivery time and condition was great!

As you can see in the video I am using one half of the 2 pack shelving unit to have my welding machine and accessories. The other half I have as a rack for some paint leftover from a recent project. I was actually laughing when I first opened the box because the parts were so flimsy but as I began to build it I was really surprised at how it ended up quite sturdy and useful for light duty storage. Would I put spare tires or heavy engine parts on it, no. Does the picture they use make it look really big like some reviews state, absolutely. A little misrepresentation there but I have to say, I’m probably going to be ordering other products from this company but just for light storage. In the end, I like the shelves but if you’re expecting to stack whole tires and wheels or big totes on them you’ll be disappointed. Double check your dimensions for whatever your application may be and have fun building your rack system with the little mini hammer they include and you’ll be good.

I purchased several of these narrow depth shelves for the garage in our new home. I've used similar products in the past. A bit lighter weight than I expected but construction quality is good. Very easy to assemble if you use a good "dead blow" hammer. Skip the gloves. I also used black zip ties in addition to the metal or plastic linking devices. I also used small nuts and bolts to attach the braces to the particle board shelves just to add a bit of stability. Once assembled and with some weight on them the shelves are surprisingly stable. These are not heavy-duty industrial shelves but are certainly adequate for the needs of most homeowners.
